I have bought Hanro undershirts for over 4 decades and still wear the old ones, although I have slightly outgrown them. The fabric is unsurpassed for the loveliest tight, evenly knit cotton thread/yarn and stretch—without added elastic (which breaks down over a short time). Back in the day, the sleeve and neck binding was rolled and self-sewn (the very nicest, but triple the labor), then changed to thin lace banding (also nice, but snagged on bra fittings) and now satin binding. Satin binding looks good, stays flat, doesn’t snag, and has held up for at least 10 years of machine washing (delicate) and hang-to-dry. Years ago, I dried in these in the dryer on low, resulting in minimal shrinkage but significant wear/tear on fabric.
